During the School Board meeting on Monday, November 17th, the Board, working in partnership with Nexus, finalized the selection of construction bids. We saw an excellent response, receiving over 80 bids across 20 distinct scopes of work.

In every category, the lowest qualified bid was selected. Nexus managed a rigorous vetting process on all proposals, confirming that the chosen companies meet all necessary requirements, including:

  • Proper insurance coverage

  • Strong bond ratings

  • Positive professional references

The only remaining scope is fire suppression. Although one bid was received, we will proactively reach out to additional contractors to ensure we secure competitive pricing for this critical system. We anticipate this final quote to be approximately $2 million.

Please Note: The attached document summarizes the approved bids and does not include the fire suppression quote, engineering/architecture fees, or the initial summer work (house demolition, sidewalk reconstruction, and the retaining wall). It also does not include furniture and equipment purchased directly by contractors or contingency fees.
